The SIMPSON Megashot 3400 PSI pressure washer cannot connect directly to a static water tank because its axial cam pump needs positive water pressure from a standard garden hose to function safely. If you try to run it from a tank without pressure, the pump will overheat and permanently damage its internal seals.
