The pressure washer's PSI rating is based on the cooperation of the pump, engine and nozzle working together- all of which affect the PSI at the business end. This ratings process is in line with CETA standards for pressure and flow. If you'd like to learn more about CETA standards, their website has a lot of useful info. Q: Several specs are incorrect. The 60735 shows 11HP and the 60995 with 5.5 HP. Can I assume they are both 5.5HP. I prefer the CAT pump. Are they the same other than the frame and pump ? Thank You.

Used the power wash to do my outside of my barn my gutters, and some other items. Found it to start up quickly and work very well.. I owned another brand for 10 years and and finally rehomed it due to its inability to start quickly. This machine starts with a flick of the wrist.. impressive

The right features.

I bought this washer due to its features. I wanted the CAT pump because it can be serviced, repaired and replaced. I wanted the low oil safety for obvious reasons. I wanted a Honda engine. I appreciate the aluminum frame for weight saving. The fact it looks cool was just a bonus.
It would be cool if Simpson shipped more than 16 ounces of oil for a motor that requires 20 ounces—according to the owner’s manual.

Hello, Manyard. We’re sorry for the confusion regarding the amount of oil that came with your pressure washer. The 20 oz. specification refers to the maximum oil capacity of the engine, but the engine doesn’t require 20 oz. to be properly lubricated. The ideal range would be between the upper and lower (Min / Max) marks on the dip stick, which when filled and checked on a level surface should be no more than about 16oz. Please note, some oil residue may remain in the engine after it was line-tested, so you may not need the entire 16 oz. of oil that came with your purchase. Just be sure to check the oil dipstick before starting, and as long as it’s within the High/Low range, you should be in great shape with the amount of oil provided with your purchase.
