Be sure to spread according to the label instructions. Also, make sure that no weed control or weed prevention product has been used in the area, as those products will also prevent or inhibit germination of the seed. When used on newly germinated lawns, herbicides will kill off the new grass. For best results, daytime temperatures should be 77° F or higher and not going below 60° F at night. Seeds will not germinate if the temperatures are cold at night, or are fluctuating from high day temperature to very low night time temperatures. The best time to seed is in late spring to early summer.

I think this is working. I am one of those people who watches daily progress and get excited about how things look. Well...this is a great product but have used for a couple years. One year application does not work for a worn out lawn. You have to work at a beautiful lawn.

Prepared areas, spread the mix dense, watered on days of no rain, and after 3 weeks, not 1 blade of grass.

You should start seeing germination in 7 to 14 days under ideal growing conditions. Daytime temperatures should be between 80-90 degrees for the seed to germinate. Soil temperatures need to be between 70-90 degrees for this seed to germinate. Cool night time temperatures can delay the germination process even if it warm enough during the day. A lack or excessive amount of moisture can inhibit seed germination. Weed control used prior to seeding can prevent the seed from germinating. Weed control product used on new seedlings will kill them. Do not use a weed control that is registered for lawn use to new grass until it has been cut at least 3-4 times.
