When my dogs were small, I was concerned about their getting good nutrition. I had a dog before these two that died of CGH and a vet had told me most dog foods do not contain essential heart health nutrients, specifically a much needed enzyme called taurine. A friend of mine in another state was talking to me and told me her daughter n law was a director in TN over the quality for animal foods-from cattle to kittens. She had told my friend the food she felt was the most well made was 4 Health. I chose the Lamb because its fat content was the lowest and one of my guys can be sensitive to too high fat. I continue to buy the Lamb and rice kibble, but mix in a little beef and rice can, as they stopped making the Lamb in can. Great food. My dogs will soon be 8 and they are healthy in every way, thank God.
