Q: What should the water pressure be to avoid damage to the thread connections
8 days ago1 Answer
- A: Howdy neighbor! To avoid leaking or cracking the plastic threads, your water pressure should ideally be kept between 40 and 60 PSI, which is the optimal operating range where the valve achieves its standard flow rate of roughly 3.5 gallons per minute. While the Rubbermaid Stock Tank Float Valve (MPN: 4248-06) has an absolute maximum pressure rating of 90 PSI, pushing the system to that upper limit significantly increases the risk of blowing out the hose washer or stripping the structural foam plastic threads.7 days agoHelpful?
Q: Can it be used on metal tank?

- AI-generatedA: This float valve is designed specifically to fit all Rubbermaid Commercial Products stock tanks. While it is intended for those specific models, some reviewers have noted that it may only fit Rubbermaid tanks and does not easily adapt to other setups.a month agoHelpful?
Q: What is the maximum water pressure it can operate on? I have very high water pressure. Do I need a pressure regulator ?
2 months ago1 Answer
- AI-generatedA: The specific maximum water pressure is not stated, but reviewers have noted that high household water pressure can cause the hose to disconnect or the coupler to blow out. Using a pressure regulator may help, as some users found the valve more reliable with lower pressure or gravity-fed systems.2 months agoHelpful?

Great tank float

Great that you can bolt it instead of clamping it in place. The hose connecting on the side is a plus also. But this one is also more money that other brands.
Yes, I recommend this product.
