What is the weight of the empty tank?

Asked by: Rique
Tanks are rated by capacity not weight. They will support the weight necessary for their rated capacity. Engineering does not provide weight ratings on stock tanks.

What is best way to patch a hole (melted from heater) in middle of side of 150 gallon tank ? I have read that some people have tried hot air plastic welder and others have tried JB Weld or Plumbers Goop - and have had varying degrees of success.

Asked by: fixer61
We do not recommend patching a stock tank. The tanks are made from polyethylene and do not work well with epoxy or other standard adhesives.

Can you purchase a lid for any of the stock tank sizes?

Asked by: Montester
We do not offer lids for our stock tanks. The only thing we can suggest is fabricating one out of plywood and adding a hinge in the middle for limited access.

It says on the tub to use only use gages heaters. What kind of heater is that? I googled it all kinds of things pop up. I purchased a fish tank heater will that work?

Asked by: Sapphire1008
Farm Innovators and API make heaters for the Rubbermaid Stock Tank. Brands are sold at any dealer that sells our stock tanks. If using a floating heater, make sure to use one that has a cage (or what could be called a guard).

The Rubbermaid Structural Foam Stock Tank is developed and intended for the watering of live stock. We make no clam when it comes to being used for anything other then it's intended use.
