Overall, a good value

I bought this coop in January 2018, so it has just turned four years old. The run is 5 stars! The design of the coop is 3 stars, the wood quality is 2 stars. I put the coop itself on the ground on a rubber stall mat that I purchased at the same time. In the four years I've had it, I rebuilt the four lower doors last fall as well as stained the entire coop. If you purchase this, stain it immediately. As said by others, a few small forward-thinking improvements will make this last a lot longer. First, buy a rubber stall mat for the coop to sit on. . Saves the entire bottom structure. Second, stain and seal it immediately. Third, use butyl tape or weather stripping to plug up the gaps. Fourth, reinforce the interior with a board between the two trays. This keeps the poop from getting built up and under the two trays. Finally, reinforce the roost bars by nailing flat boards across the top. They are not wide enough.

Entire Flock Killed!

I came out yesterday morning to find that something (raccoon maybe?) had pried off the vent on the back and killed all my chickens. This product utterly failed at it's one job.

Hard pass!!!!

This coop is a terrible choice if you live anywhere that gets rain. The bottom of the area where the hens perch doesn’t come out, which makes cleaning extremely difficult. It’s even worse after it rains because there’s no easy way to drain or remove the standing water. To make matters worse, I purchased it just before it went on sale, and the company refused to refund me the price difference. It also arrived missing the bottom floor of the storage compartment. To add insult to injury, I paid for delivery. They sent only one delivery person, who then had the nerve to ask my 86-year-year old mother to help move it. Overall, this was a terrible product and an even worse customer service experience. I would not recommend it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Flock Eaten

My flock is gone. There’s no way I paid $1200 for a coop that’s supposed to be predator resistant just for my flock to be gone. Would not recommend. It’s not fair.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Love it

This thing is perfect in most ways. We love it and so do the chickens! The one thing to be aware of when you open the upper back door to check for eggs, have something handy to brush the bedding back or you will have issues closing the doors! That is not a problem, that is just physics at work!
