Designed for efficient use, this Producer's Pride Chick Brooder Lamp is designed to light 50% more area than a standard clamp light. Featuring a reinforced steel guard with a scratch-resistant steel clamp for durability, this brooder lamp also comes with a vinyl sleeve to ensure added strength and longevity. The chick brooder lamp includes an adjustable ball joint to allow versatile positioning, and it comes UL-listed for safety during use. This brooder lamp also uses a 120V, 250W type R bulb.

Bought 3 for each of my 3 female pit bulls individual kennels and they love it!!! Especially when the low temperature weather sets in! Just went back to Tractor Supply today and bought one more for my male. He stays in an igloo under the carport to protect the property AND I KNOW HES GOING TO ENJOY IT ASWELL!!!

not for use with heat lamp bulb

I have bought ten of these lamps they are trash the socket burns out fast. if you use a 100 watt light bulb they are ok. try using a 250 watt heat lamp as they are rated for the socket burns out quick

They are cheap, but needed to be replace every year.
After a few months, the wires at the docket get burned or rusted. Now I buy ceramic lamps instead.
I don't recommend this item for long term use.
