Warm it to soften first.

Worked great! First time we used it it dried right out of the packet and we weren't even able to spread it around. Then we discovered that after warming it up in hot water before we mixed it inside the packet, we had more time to spread it before it hardened. With the right prep (sandpaper to scuff up the metal and alcohol wipes to dry it) this stuff really sticks!

Ok but cures really fast

Decent kit with everything you need to repair a gas tank, but the resin says it cures in 8 minutes but mine cured in about 3 as I was applying it so be careful with it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Has everything you need, resin sets fast

I'm a professional mechanic and this is the only kit that looked promising to me to repair a leaking metal fuel tank. The kit is easy to use and has everything you need. Note every review about the mastic/resin setting up very fast-set everything up before even touching the resin pouch. Have your fiberglass cloth cut to size for putting over the leak, have the area sanded and cleaned and your putty applied. THEN mix the resin and apply immediately, get your cloth on and get the rest of that resin over the area. It absolutely sets up within minutes and you can't mix this and set it down or you'll be running to the store for another kit. Because of the fast setting nature of the resin, if you have more than one leak, absolutely get another kit.

Work Fast... sets hard within 4 minutes

Works great, held 60 gal diesel tank. But started to harden in 3 minutes and was hard by 4 minutes, NOT 8. Went from dripping wet to hard in less than a minute! So be completely ready BEFORE you mix the epoxy.
