Q: I’m concerned my fuel cap on the diesel transfer tank is not venting enough. In the summer, i hear my tank popping as the cap lets off expanded pressure. Could the vent be partially clogged? If so, is there a recommended way to clean the vented cap?

Q: My auxiliary transfer tank gas cap is not venting properly it only vents when I open it so it builds up pressure and causes my fuel to leak throw the original gas cap

Q: Is there a relieving pressure that this cap has in lbs.? I want to make sure my tank will handle the pressure.

- A: The Vented gas caps have a pressure relief valve around 3 pounds PSI. Should not be a problem. Just remember the tank is only designed for Diesel fuel and water. Not gasoline. Use of any gasoline will cancel all warranty.7 years agoHelpful?
