Q: It seems that Tractor Supply does not offer the hydraulic oil filter for this, that's supposed to be replaced after 25 hours of use. Oregon does not list it on their website. Not found thru other local retailers. Where are we supposed to buy them?

Kohler Engine Garbage DO NOT BUY
a year ago
Got this last Aug 2023, used 2 weekends, they stored away inside, went to use this fall engine seized. tried calling Kohler said I needed to drive 1.5 hrs to get it looked at. Had old timer down the st who used to do warranty work for them look at has engine said no oil was getting into valve, dry as a bone.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I had to fill it with hydraulic fluid, didn’t know it didn’t come with it. But after filling the engine with oil also it most definitely gets the job done.

AMAZING HARD WORKING 30 TONS OF POWER

This has got all the power you need to handle the toughest wood. I have a bunch of old oak trees on my property that are dry and hard as a rock. The 30 ton handled them flawlessly. Folks, some of these logs that were cut had a diameter of 30 inches and it peeled right through them. Only issue we had was the pin on the hydraulic arm came loose somehow, but quick adjustment and it was back into fast cutting. This thing will split a cord of wood in 30 minutes no questions asked.

This Oregon 30T splitter does a fantastic job on all the Oak I can feed it! Dependable & easy start. I make it a point to use synthetic oil & ethanol free gas in the Kohler engine to help keep it in top running order. Great unit overall!
