The CountyLine 28-Ton Log Splitter uses a 196cc Kohler SH270 Series engine, which is known for having both industry-leading power and a user-friendly design. Featuring 6.5HP, 10.2 FT-LBS of Torque, 13 Second Cycle Time and a 14 GPM 2-stage pump this engine is sure to perform under the toughest of challenges. The Kohler engine has an accessible air filter and spark-plug, making it extremely easy to maintain, and a dual ball bearing crankshaft design that makes starting up a breeze.

Great quality, even better support

We bought two of these splitters to help with Hurricane Helene relief because they were the cheapest per ton we could find. These splitters are the best build quality I've seen from any manufacturer yet. Even better, the manufacturer, YTL, has one of the most helpful and responsive support teams I've ever worked with. They help in whatever way they can and have years of real experience supporting and using the machines. So far I've submitted one warranty claim from a machine getting too run hard, and one spare parts quote request and in both cases they called me to chat within 15 minutes of my request and were able to help me right away. I'll be specifically purchasing YTL supported splitters and equipment in the future for just that reason.

Does the job

I've only run it for a bit to check it out. It split 16" lengths of white oak very nicely. Any knots bogged it down quite a bit, but you can make it work.
Take a metric socket set with you when you pick it up at TSC. Torque down every bolt you see before leaving the parking lot. I didn't and the failure it caused was destructive.

Over all a great wood splitter. Little disappointed in some scuffs already on it from shipping as they had some rust starting when I picked it up. Other then that, I'm satisfied with the product.

Terrible warranty
a month ago
Had this splitter for only a year and a half and really have not split much and the pump locked up causing the engine to fail. Called tractor supply for the 2 year engine and hydraulic warranty and they are telling me I need to call county line........ County line is a tractor supply trademark brand. Getting the run around with it now.
No, I do not recommend this product.
