Cons the poles are a little short for a 6 foot 3 inch person. The wheels are tiny. They work on flat hard surface but not on grass and dirt. I had to carry it to the back of the woods and it is heavy to carry. The plug to remove to fill the oil was difficult to find because it was painted over. It was also difficult to remove and put back in. The customer service person tells me there is an oil level window but I cannot find it. Speaking of customer service the first one I got did not work so within 3 days I got a new one and it worked just fine. When I say it worked just fine I mean it. You do need some upper body strength and you have to work with some of the pieces of wood because the cradle is not adjustable. It is easy to store away and all of the parts seemed to be very solid. I put it thru the test and it just about flawless. Overall I would recommend it for the price and how it worked. Much easier than a chainsaw or a swinging a wood splitter axe.

Thank goodness Tractor Supply refunded my money without a problem. The splitter I got may have been a lemon. If not, this machine is a piece of junk. After making sure it was full of hydraulic fluid, I still couldn't get the pusher bar to move more than 2 inches forward. Also, the wheels are far too small to be useful on the kind of terrain you're likely to be splitting logs on, and it's too heavy to drag often.
