From 6 8 months of age (about 70 90 lbs. or 31.8 40.8 kg. body weight) until 2 weeks prior to the start of breeding season.Two weeks prior to breeding season, transition birds to Mazuri Ratite Breeder Diet.Transition animals back to Mazuri Emu Maintenance Diet towards the end of the breeding season to accommodate for the large increase in feed consumption that occurs at this time.Supplement high producing birds with calcium (using oyster shell) based on the level of egg production during the breeding season.Thoroughly wash feed and water bowls on a regular basis.
