Crap.

Planted under a red maple tree. It came up really fast but mostly died out after about 6 weeks because it was mostly annual ryegrass. Don't waste your money.

Very pleased and suprised how fast this came up. It's been cool and rainy here and when sunny the area the seed was put down in only gets a few hours of sun.

Grows great in a yard shaded by sycamore trees

We live in a heavily wooded area with sycamore trees. In addition to regularly applying lyme to the soil, this is the only grass seed that will grow among the trees. Don't get me wrong, we have a full yard of grass, but there is lots of shade in the summer. This deep shade variety is the way to go.
