Having problems.

Bought April 5, 2026. Tractor Supply assembled it. We have used it about 5 times. It is a nightmare to clean out the underside. Impossible, actually. My forearms to not bent the way they need to, to access the stuck on grass. It pretty much refuses to bag. It did the first time, but never again since. Now the battery charging function is having issues. It was 65%, charged it overnight, the next day it was still 65%. The manual is pretty much worthless, it refers to a “battery manual,” which I cannot find anywhere, including on the Greenworks site. It does not say anything about the headlight, whether it should be lit or not while charging.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We are sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating that must be, especially with a new unit. Since the mower stopped operating after limited use, there are a few things worth checking: ensure all batteries are fully charged, properly seated, and that the connections are clean and secure; confirm the key is inserted and turned to the correct position, and that the parking brake is fully engaged, as these are required safety conditions for operation; also check that the seat safety switch is being engaged and that the mower is not in a locked or fault state on the display panel. If the unit powers on but will not move or engage the blades, try powering it down completely, removing and reinstalling the batteries, and restarting the system. We recognize the inconvenience youve experienced trying to reach support, and if the issue persists after these checks, we recommend continuing to connect with customer succes supoort so they can properly diagnose the unit and assist with warranty service if necessary. Greenworks success team can be reached either using the online chat function, on Greenworks Tools page, or by calling 1-888-909-6757. GreenworksTools

Delivery sucked

Well, I’ve used some Mower twice now the Mower itself. I think I like it. This would be my first riding mower. I usually do push mowers.(by push I mean self-propelled) it work well but the plastic piece that u r supposed to attach to allow the grass clippings to shoot out of the Mower won’t stay attached to the Mower. It’s flexible plastic and because it doesn’t affect the Mower if you have a yard like I do with hills and dollies and bumps it’s it’s not a golf course. it’s like going down A bumpy field. There are lots of highs and low points all around so it’s either digging into the ground or eventually it just knocks it right off the Mower. I find that extremely irritating so I’m gonna have to buy the bagger attachment and see if that helps the situation. I also don’t like that the delivery was horrible XPO delivered it and they left the Mower in the middle of the street. They didn’t seem to think that they did anything wrong. I’m lucky that I live in a small town or they would’ve just made it so that A Mower sat in the road for 5 hr. when I complained about the fact that the guy just left it in the middle of the road in front of my house, they said that the there was nothing they could do that the equipment that they provide the driver doesn’t allow for them to take the mower up the hill that it weighed 500 pounds and that this kind of thing shouldn’t have been delivered to somebody’s house that it was supposed to be delivered to A hardware store and I was very upset because I paid $200 to have something dumped in the middle of the road I got lucky that I live in a small town and the police weren’t called in a tow truck. Company didn’t come and take it because the delivery service was very irresponsible. You can’t just leave stuff in the middle of the road. They were asked to put it in the driveway and I understand that the trucks have high limit, but I assume that they had forklift and the liftgate so that they can deliver the equipment that they check contracts out on, but they didn’t seem to do that. They just thought it was acceptable to pull up to somebody’s house and because of the powerlines close to my home being lower that they could just back it off the truck and leave it there that should never happen as far as the Mower goes. I’m not that really that hard to impress as long as it starts and it allows me to mow my yard. I honestly don’t care if it worked for the fact that I have started using my grass clippings as a barrier in my garden, I would pay somebody to mow my yard because that’s how much I hate doing it, but as I have started gardening and I like it, the affordable weed barrier plus the composting and all of that is the reason why I chose to buy a riding lawnmower because the self-propelled was just a little too much work for me well the mowers down the test of time again I’ve only used it twice. I think that the company should come back to people and 18 months or 12 months find out how the batteries are standing through the test of time cause that’s the real question here is whether the product will last for more than two weeks. I’m not really sure why companies send you something and then expect you to review it the same day that they have delivered it people people don’t even even get to use the product or see that it what quality it is again I have moved the yard twice. I find the plastic shute doesn’t work well will bumpy ground and that it can’t won’t or doesn’t mow handle inclined at all I will use the self-propelled mower for the incline part of my yard and this one for the other maybe in a couple of years I will find something that is electric and will do the incline in front of my house until then I’m hoping that this Mower stands the test of time

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We are glad to hear you are generally enjoying the mower, and we are sorry to hear about the frustration with the discharge chute and delivery experience. For the chute issue, we recommend double-checking that the discharge deflector is fully seated and that any locking tabs or pivot points are correctly engaged, as improper alignment can cause it to loosen, especially on uneven terrain. On bumpy or sloped yards, vibration and ground contact can also dislodge the chute, so adjusting your cutting height slightly higher and reducing speed over rough areas can help minimize impact. If your model supports it, using a bagger attachment or mulch plug may also provide a more secure alternative depending on your yard conditions. Regarding delivery, we understand how concerning that experience must have been, though delivery services are handled separately from the product itself. We appreciate your feedback and will share it with the appropriate teams for review. Should you require any troubleshooting, warranty assistance, questions or other concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us directly via chat or call 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS).
