Q: Has this been sprayed with herbicides while growing? I would like to use it in the vegetable garden.

- A: Good day--although we can not gauranteetthat the straw has not been sprayed-because it is heat treated and triple cleaned there should be no residue remaining. It protects the garden from drying out--adds nitrogen back into the soil as it breaks down and because it if dust and weed extracted it does not add those darn weed seeds into your garden or flower bed.
