Loving the Extra Fine shavings

I ended up getting the extra fine when the regular fine shavings were sold out, it's chick days so everyone is grabbing shavings like crazy. Well we had to do a whole coop clean and reset and I can say I am so glad I got these. I have since done another coop refresh and got the extra fine shavings again. They are easier to deal with in the nesting boxes we use pads but also put shavings on top the chickens seem to like them a lot better as well, they are softer for them since they are fine so they are more comfortable for them while laying. We keep a counter top under our roost and normally put shavings on them, I have found with the fine shavings it's easier to sweep the droppings off and they absorb better than the fine.

Purchased tractor supply brand wood bedding and it’s great for my pens easy to clean keeps the pen odors down and very absorbing also great price no dust and easy on the ducks feet not like straw much softer
