Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great I bought this to be able to fill gas cans from a 55 gallon drum for my generator during the power outage due to hurricane Michael. It did the job very good and with minimal effort. Would highly recommend this pump.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Quality Exactly what I needed and is great quality. Great Price!
Date published: 2018-10-22
Rated 3 out of 5 by from The nozzle issue I bought approximately 3 weeks ago because the previous one I bought from TSC handle broke. The hook that holds the nozzle doesn’t hold nozzle and nozzle will fall off hook while I’m driving. If there is any fuel in the hose it will leak in the bed of my pickup.

Does this pump work in both directions? As in, can I suck gas out of 5 gal. cans to fill up a 55gal drum, and then turn the crank in the opposite direction to suck the fuel out of the 55gal drum?

Asked by: C Wyckoff
All of our pumps are designed to pull a suction only. if you run these in reverse you could wear out the vanes quickly, and you won't have an filtration to protect the pump. what will happen is you will blow air down the through the pump and into the fuel verses pulling a vacuum to bring the fuel up. if you have any other question feel free to give us a call. 1-800-835-0113 Thank you, GPI Sales team.

Can you use a water trap type filter with this hand pump?

Asked by: Jrl farm
Yes, a water trap filter can be used. Technically any filter can be used as long as it can perform at or above 10 gallons per minute/100 revolutions.

Could I reduce the 2 inch npt down to a 3/4 in pipe. I have a tank with a 1/2 diameter drop tube approximately 18 inches long. Then I would like to put a filter on the out put line before it goes into the vehicle. Would this be recommended

Asked by: JPPOLK
Hello, I would not recommend this setup. You need the 1" suction pipe to go down into the fuel so you can get the right fuel draw from the tank. Otherwise the pump will have a hard time drawing up the fuel with a 1/2" suction tube. Thank you, GPI Sales Team.

Will this pump work on the delta 37 gal auxiliary fuel tanks?

Asked by: Landy
Yes, as long as it has the standard 2" thread and you go no more than a 3' suction lift.

can it be used on a 55 gallon drum to pump 15w-40 oil

Asked by: Mississippi boy
The RP-10 has been approved for use with medium weight oils up to 30W. As long as the oil remains at room temperature in the drum the oil will not reach the higher viscosity and shouldn't cause issues. The dry prime capabilities are capable of picking up from the bottom of a 55 gallon drum as well so long as the drum is properly vented.

Can you add an in line gauge to see how many gallons you pump per use?

Asked by: mashjackson
Hello, yes you can add an inline flow meter, you just need to make sure on a hand pump you keep the flow over 3 gallons per min to keep the meter as accurate as possible. Thanks, GPI Sales Team.
