The GPI Digital Meter is calibrated in gallons, with a flow rate of 3 to 30 GPM. The digital water meter is powered by two AAA batteries that are field replaceable. I just purchased this item a couple weeks ago and it was only used maybe 3 times. It stopped working today. I will be returning it for my money back. Very disappointed. Must of been made on a Monday.

Tina, apologies for the inconvenience. Most commonly with DEF products when the DEF is exposed to air the DEF begins to crystallize if the wrong fitting(i.e. RSV instead of EPV) is used or there are leaks in the fluid lines. If these things should occur then the mechanical components could become fouled by the crystalized DEF. I hope this helps and if you still have the unit I would encourage you to call 1-800-835-0113 for any further troubleshooting before returning the product to the store.
