    Switch works but the instructions are unclear

    The K2 vertical float switch works, but the instructions are incomplete and it is not clear how it is attached either to a sump pump (what's the telescoping rubber piece for?) nor to the discharge pipe. A bracket and clamp are provided but how to effectively attach the body of the float switch to the pipe? Where do the 2 small screws provided go? I used the zip tie to hold the switch to the bracket but this is less than ideal for a permanent installation.
