GPI MR 5-30 Mechanical Fuel Meter fits virtually all-mounting applications. The unique 90° incremental rotations of both the inlet and outlet ports make for easy installation and reduce the need for extra elbows. The MR 5-30 fuel pump meter is calibrated at the factory for diesel fuel. Metric models of this popular meter are available offering measurement in liters with NPT or BSPP threads. Field calibrated to measure other fuels or to adjust for differences in viscosity and flow rates.

Q: Is this gravity fed or does it need electricity?

Q: Can this be installed in line on fuel hose just prior to nozzle so I can watch quantity of fuel being dispensed into equipment away from tank?

- A: A large mechanical meter like the MR 5-30 is too bulky to be installed at the nozzle end. It is typically installed in a stationary position. For installation at the nozzle, the 01A31GM would be a better choice.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Can this unit be accurately calibrated for, and will it work with 100LL aviation fuel ? 100LL weighs 6 lb/gallon

- A: It works off of an internal turbine with a fixed diameter measuring the speed through the orfice gives you the cubic flow which is then calculated into your GPM the weight of the fuel doesn’t affect it in my experience5 years agoHelpful?

Q: Can you install a filter before the meter or should it be after? Also I got a gpi pump and a filter just wonder how some have plumbed it in to all work with the meter as well. The kit you offer for the filter just comes straight out so how would add meter

- A: You would be better off installing the filter before the flow meter so it serves as a filter for your flow meter. The filter kit has an adapter with two end connections so you'll have to use a piece of pipe between that and the meter to install. Great product

Exactly as stated in description. A bit larger than expected but no big deal. Mounting was easy and the mounting options include vertical, horizontal, and even inverted. I had to take the face plate and internal working apart to flip the screen so I could mount it with the reset knob on the other side. The instructions detailed how to make the change and if you follow the directions it’s no problem.
The unit is solid and appears to be extremely well made.

I have a 12 GPM pump, with a filter & this in down to about 5 1/2 GPM, but I’m ok with that as it seems accurate. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, the reset knob seems a bit cheap. And is a little finicky to reset. Other then that, works exactly as expected,

Thanks for purchasing our fuel meter! Anything you put in-line will affect your flow rate, although dropping it from 12 GPM to 5 1/2 GPM sounds like a lot... You may want to call us so we can look further into your application if you are concerned about it. Aside from that the reset knob is a simple piece and we made it economical in case a customer breaks one off so they can repair it with little to no cost. Any questions or concerns please call us!
