9 Years and Counting

I see a lot of bad reviews on this hydrant but I've had mine in the barn since September 2012 (9 years) and I haven't had any issues with it. I'm in the Adirondacks of Northern NY where it gets plenty cold so when I installed it I ran a heat tape all the way to the bottom of the pipe then wrapped the whole thing with a fiberglass insulation sheath. Never frozen, never failed. Used daily to water the sheep.

Lasted 2 months
Save your money. Yard Hydrant replaced a 39 year old one that looked bad, new one lasted less than 2 months. Old one had Brass Cone, this one has a rubber one that swells up and causes failure of the lift rod (Yes, it is a 2 piece lift rod that breaks). More work to dig back out again. The Tires they sell here must be recycled rotted rubber . Replaced all 4 new tires on my Swisher mower, the same year they all failed. I went to a tire store and bought real tires.
PS- Site wouldn't allow me to attached the photos of these failed parts. FIGURES>

Junk
Poor quality, cheap import junk. Didn't last long, always leaked. Couldn't adjust to shut off, replaced with a good USA made hydrant. I took this apart to see what the issue was, brass rod was broke off where it was supposed to be threaded on to steel. Bad design

TSC Order 1163009958
Ordered hydrant online July 1 to be shipped to TSC in Waynesboro, Pa. Delivery date of July 5. On July 7, I stopped in store to ask about item. I was told it had shipped. Due to storms, it is delayed. Completely understandable. Was given a new delivery date of July 10. I called store to see if item had arrived. I was told the item was on the way and should arrive over the weekend. I checked the tracking number online and discovered FedEx had picked up the item. It did not specify a delivery date. On July 17 I again went to the store. Lady at the Service Desk checked on order. She was told the item was not in stock. Did not know when it would be in stock. Canceled the order and will issue refund.
