Fimco 25 gal. Multi-Boom ATV Sprayer

This was my first sprayer I ever bought so I was new to this. I researched many sprayers and decided to spend the extra money on this one. The sprayer works great but has some factory QC issues that need to be dealt with. The pros are: The spray tips rotate and allows to spray down, off, or to the sides. That was nice because I needed it to spray downward. Also, I like how the bar that has the sprayers on it is adjustable so you can bring it in or out from the 4 wheeler and remove when storing it. I like the on/off switch and the pump is strong. Finally, I like how the spray tips are easy to remove as well. When spraying, pressure was great on all 3 tips. Now the negative and the reason for my 3 stars, IT LEAKS!!! I have spent hours tightening, loosening, adding thread tape etc and it still leaks right where the valve threads to the tank. I don’t understand why Fimco would use plastic on plastic threads. I mean that’s a disaster for leaks. If you tighten to much you strip it, to loose it leaks. Your common garden hose connections are metal, not plastic so why not do the same thing Fimco? Plastic breaks and leaks. Finally, this leak should have been caught before it was boxed and shipped out from the factory. Instead of calling Fimco to get a new connector, I will go to the pipe shop and create something that works and doesn’t leak. I had Weed killer leak all over my 4 wheeler, my grass, my clothes etc. For a $500 sprayer, that is purely unacceptable. Also, the plastic piece that goes inside the pump tightens by a lever and is not threaded. I have never seen that before. It leaks too and there is nothing you can do to stop it unless the pump had threads in it. I taped it with plumbers tape and that helped but it still leaks. If you don’t want leaks I don’t suggest you buy this. When you buy a tank sprayer the last thing you want is it for it to leak. That’s a no brainer and this one failed the test. Fimco, you need to fill every tank before you box it and check your fittings. I’m sure this isn’t the first time you have heard this complaint.
