Q: I recently bought this sprayer from the Greenville MS after assembling and getting ready to spray three of the nozzles did not spray. I had to remove the filter insert in the nozzle to get to spray. What is the correct part number for the filter insert?

Q: Sprayer only pressurizes with both valves in off position. As soon as I turn on the boom or use the HH it goes away. Worked great on first tank full then issues started with second mixture.

  • Fimco Industries
A: Typically, when pressure is reached and then a discharge is opened and it drops, it's usually debris on the strainer screen on the intake. Check the screen and clean to see if that takes care of the issue. If not please contact our customer service team at 800-831-0027 and they'll be happy to assist.

Q: Can you mount on utv

  • Fimco Industries
A: Yes, you can mount it in a UTV, being sure to strap it down good with tie-down straps. You may have to remove the tailgate, in order to not have so much weight sitting on the tailgate. The approximate weight of the sprayer when full is 270 lbs.

Q: Is there a drain plug on the tank for cleaning?

1 Answer
  • Fimco Industries
A: Chad, there is not a dedicated drain plug on the tank. The way to drain would be to close the shut off valve on the intake, then unscrew the knurled nut to your intake hose. Then you can open the valve and drain the tank.

Q: What wattage should the 12 volt battery have at a minimum to be able to spay an 8 acre field ?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi, A 12 volt battery itself does not have a specific wattage because wattage is calculated by multiplying voltage by amperage, so you need to know the amp-hour rating of the battery to determine its wattage capacity; for example, a 12 volt battery with a 100 amp-hour rating would have a potential capacity of 1200 watt-hours (12 volts x 100 amp-hours).

Q: Does the pump run constantly, with a return to the tank so the product is continually stirred up? Is there a pressure gage?

1 Answer
  • Fimco Industries
A: There is a pressure gauge on this sprayer. Also, with the return line coming off the manifold marked Press ADJ, you can return some of your solution back into the tank to help keep it slightly agitated. Only thing to remember, is this is the same line that controls your pressure for spraying, the more open the line, the less your pressure will be.

Nice productivity booster

Bought this sprayer to put on my Arctic Cat several months ago mainly to spray 2-4-D and triclopyr on several acres of poison ivy in our pecan orchard on the river bottom. What I like: • Fairly easy to assemble. I ran into no notable snags. All parts were accounted for and fit relatively well. • Perfect storage capacity (25 gal) for my job (approximately 4 acres). You wouldn’t want to put much more weight on the back of a midsize ATV. • Instructions were better than most but far from the best I’ve had - it would be helpful to have larger diagrams. If you don’t have young eyes, you may want to have a magnifying glass handy. However, the text is almost all you might need and is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL to read to ensure proper operation of the rig. If you haven’t used something like this before and just wing it, you will wind up burning up the pump or gumming up the nozzles and ruining your investment. Be absolutely sure to follow recommendations for proper cleaning and storage. This will save you unnecessary heartache and insure that the sprayer is ready the next time you need it. • The springs in the spray arms work flawlessly, bending rather than breaking something whenever I hit a snag or small branch. Easily pulled/extended out again. • Easily adjustable spray height • Spray nozzles worked very well - nice fine mist - even with a fairly thick solution of herbicide. • Handheld sprayer is very useful and has a long hose so that you can hop off your ATV and spray in a 10-15 feet radius before having to reposition the vehicle. • Plastic for the tank is translucent making it fairly easy to see the level of fluid inside. • The rocker switch to turn the pump on/off is a must-have life saver and comes with plenty of cord making it easy to position and connect with the external battery you’ll need to power the rig if not connecting to the battery of your ATV. • Speaking of the battery, I use a separate, discrete battery for the sprayer. Although it is used and only 6 or 8 amps, it runs the pump confidently and continuously for a good hour to hour and a half or so. After that, power begins to wane. What I don’t like: • Difficult to drain. I actually bought a 1” fitting, drilled a hole and installed on the bottom edge of the tank opposite of the pump. This makes it SOOOOOO MUCH faster and easier to clean and drain the tank! Why isn’t something like this a standard feature?? One competitor actually has a separate, removable mixing tank that makes clean-up a cinch. Borrowing that innovation would be a HUGE time saver. • The pump, while it mostly keeps up, seems slightly anemic at times. Be sure to prime it before use, if possible. • There is no quick way to attach/detach the whole rig. It would be worth paying extra for if there was a system that allowed you to click in and out somehow. As it is, I just leave the rig attached full time to my ATV for now. Glad I installed my gun rack on the front of the vehicle instead of the back where the sprayer has to sit. • While the hand sprayer is quite useable and features a long-ish hose, the hose itself is fairly stiff and I am a little worried I might accidentally break the fitting where it attaches if I’m not careful. Hasn’t happened (yet), of course, but some sort of pivot or additional anchoring system would be a welcome feature. • Although there are lines on the outside of the tank to inform you of the fill level, it is difficult to read. If these we painted or marked differently, it would be more useful. Final verdict: A solid but not perfect buy. Worth your hard-earned dollars.

No drain

No drain on tank. It’s a cheaper tank than you get when you by a Fimco sprayer elsewhere.

Easy assembly and operation

After reading the directions and doing them step by step, installation and assembly was easy and the sprayer worked great the first time. The spray coverage with the boom poles and 7 nozzles will make spraying in tight and large pastures a lot easier with less fuel usage. The hand sprayer works awesome and sprays at a great distance which lessens constantly having to pull up every few feet over and over. Overall I believe this is a really good sprayer and TSC staff was awesome also.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Very useful Sprayer

I purchased this sprayer about three weeks ago. I have a Kawasaki Mule Side by side, rather than a four wheeler. Since this sprayer is made to attach to the back rack of a four wheeler ATV, I had to design and build a rack to mount it in the back bed of my Mule. After that was accomplished, the sprayer has worked perfectly!

Plastic shavings

Check your strainer as soon as you get it. Plastic shavings from where they drilled holes in tank. Otherwise works good

Thank you for your purchase of the 25-gallon ATV sprayer from Tractor Supply. Glad your new sprayer is working good for you. We do state in the manuals to check your tank before testing or using the sprayer for the first time, as they may be tank residue, sometimes shavings still in the tank, even though they do vacuum them out, they don't always get all of it.
