Q: Will this unit handle diesel mixed into weed killer?
a month ago- A: We do not recommend using diesel fuel in this sprayer. The pump, internal seals, and tank components are designed for water-based agricultural chemicals. Petroleum-based products like diesel are highly corrosive to standard rubber gaskets, can degrade the pump's internal components (causing pressure loss or motor failure), and can structurally weaken the plastic tank over time. For your safety and to prevent permanently damaging the unit, please stick to water-soluble weed killers as outlined in the owner's manual.a month agoHelpful?
Q: Under what conditions does this achieve max horizontal spray distance? I have had two of these and they don’t get close to 38-40 feet. Maybe if the hose is counted. Both pro and regular series are about same spray distance.
a month ago- A: Great question. To clarify how that metric is calculated: the maximum horizontal distance is achieved specifically with the handgun nozzle adjusted to a tight, straight stream in zero-wind conditions. It is measured entirely from the tip of the handgun to where the water lands—hose length is not included. Because you've noticed a shorter throw across two different units, the issue is likely tied to one of a few critical variables that dictate distance in the field: Voltage Delivery: This is the most common culprit. A 12V pump needs a full, consistent 12.5V to 14V to run at peak PSI. If the battery is weak, or if the vehicle's engine isn't running while spraying, the pump's output drops, directly shortening the stream's throw. Nozzle Tuning: Even a tiny fraction of a turn away from a perfect straight stream will cause the water to atomize into a mist, causing the stream to lose its forward momentum. Elevation & Angle: The maximum distance is typically achieved by holding the handgun at roughly a 30 to 45-degree angle relative to the ground, rather than spraying perfectly flat or parallel. System Restrictions: A slightly clogged intake screen inside the tank or a kinked suction hose can restrict flow just enough to reduce the pump's maximum throwing power.a month agoHelpful?
Q: What is the amp pull on the pump? Does it have a fuse? If it has a fuse, what size is it?
2 months ago- A: The pump has an 11-amp draw. The lead wire that comes with the sprayer has a 15-amp fuse.2 months agoHelpful?
Q: What is empty weight?
4 months ago- A: Hello, according to the product page under the "Specifications" tab, the weight of the Fimco 25 gal. Pro Series Spot Sprayer is stated to be 232 lb.4 months agoHelpful?
Q: Just purchased at Tractor Supply. Should the intake hose have a screen?
10 months ago- A: Gary, there should be a clear bowl strainer assembly attached to the pump that the intake hose connects to.10 months agoHelpful?
Q: Can i get 100 feet of hose and install on it and it still work fine ?
10 months ago- A: It's not recommended to attach more than a 50' hose to the sprayer. Anything longer may cause the pump to pulsate and you would also notice a reduction in pressure.10 months agoHelpful?
Q: Will this ship to my house?
a year ago- A: I believe that you are offered to either have it shipped to store or direct to you through their website.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Can I add a spray boom to the sprayer?
a year ago- A: Yes, you can add a boom to this sprayer. The pump on this sprayer will handle up to a 7-nozzle standard boom. The pump is too small for a broadcast boom. You can contact our customer service team at 800-831-0027 if you have any other questions regarding this sprayer.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Can you attach a boom sprayer?
a year ago- A: Larry, yes you can add a boom to this sprayer. It will handle up to a 7-nozzle boom.a year agoHelpful?
Q: Is it assembled? If not will Tractor Supply assemble it for me? Thank you
2 years ago- A: The 25-gallon Pro series spot sprayer is mostly assembled. You would have to ask Tractor Supply if they can assemble, if you're unable to, we have no idea whether they will or not. Otherwise the only thing that would need to be done, is attaching the handgun bracket, inserting the grommet into that bracket and making sure that the hose clamps are tight before using for the first time. Other than that, just hooking up to your battery and you're off and spraying.2 years agoHelpful?
