Q&As

1 - 4 of 4 Questions

Q: What size are the holes on the feet that attached to the ground on the feeder?

1 Answer
  • A: The hole size on the foot brackets of the Field & Stream 200 lb. Steel Gravity Game Feeder is approximately 1/2 inch in diameter. This standard size allows you to secure the feeder to the ground using heavy-duty stakes, rebar pins, or standard T-anchors. If you are using standard T-handle ground stakes or 3/8-inch rebar pins, they will slide through the pre-drilled holes easily.

Q: How long will it take to empty 200 pounds of corn on the lowest setting?

1 Answer
  • Fair Game Group Product Expert
A: That really depends on the wildlife around your feeder. Its really impossible to say an exact number since feeders in different areas will empty at such different rates.

Easy setup

This gravity game feeder was pretty easy to set up and stake down. It is heavy so I would make sure it is set up exactly where you want it. It is very durable and sturdy. The hopper has a removable lid and it is very easy to pour your preferred feed into it. It also dispensed the feed very easily and had three dispensers for good coverage. Overall a great product.

Easy set up and use

We’ve been really happy with this feeder so far. My husband and teen son put it together. They were able to assemble it, place it in its location and fill it within 30 minutes. They said the instructions were easy to follow. It’s pretty heavy and seems sturdy, which is important because it’s in a heavily wooded area. It was filled halfway with deer corn. It was easy for my husband, but a little more difficult for my son due to his height. The gravity feed works well, and we like the simplicity of it. No batteries to replace and there are fewer things that can go wrong. We’ve had rain since putting it up and so far the corn has stayed dry. Ours is under heavy tree cover, so that probably helps as well. The lid feels secure, but is also easy enough to remove for refilling. We have a trail camera and haven’t yet caught deer on film. We are using it to draw deer to our hunting property which is approximately 30 yards away. Based on the quality and how easy it is to use so far, we think it is worth the price.

It’s sturdy

So it’s a really nice size capacity it made very well. The box is 75 pounds. It’s not as heavy once you take it out of the box it’s pretty easy to put together and they have everything together where you won’t lose the pieces. Instructions are very easy to follow and so I haven’t had to clean. It will update later and it works really well so far.

Best feeder I have seen

Heavy duty metal every piece. No plastic. Very well made. Adjustable feed control. Excellently packed and relatively easy assembly. Worth every penny spent. Best one I have seen for the price.
