The tag says to not feed to poultry because this feed is not formulated for poultry (chickens) to be the sole feed for them and meet all their nutrient requirements. This will not hurt your chickens. Great deer and turkey feed. I mix a small amount of corn to the mixture. Only bad thing is raccoons and bears like it also.
