Use this product to bolster the protein of my deer feed mix for my small herd of Fallow. Mixed in with Oats, Cracked corn, Barley, Wheat, BOSS and sweet mix. The girls tend to fawn good sized babies and they grow very fast. And our first buckling fawn is putting on a respectable rack for his first full sized run! The deer don't let the feed last long enough to get wet so I can make any claims on its weather resistance.
It is a pressed pellet feed so I'm sure if it gets wet it will break up rather quickly, as most pelleted feed does.
My only issue is availability, as our local TSC only stocks a few bags and I use 300 +/-lbs to a ton of feed, often making me have to travel to more than one store to acquire the amount I need.
Overall; If your hand feeding a small herd like I do then this feed works rather well mixed in with other grains. And don't ask me how they do it but, once the fawns are old enough to start on feed they will first pick out the cracked corn then pick out this feed leaving the rest in their feeder spilling almost nothing in the process!(I still make them eat it all before they get more though.) So, my Fallow at least, find the Sportsman 20 quite appealing, and I am glad that I can add it to their mix.
