Perfect manure spreader for 1-5 horses.

Love this spreader! Bought it for a small 2 horse farm and it is plenty big. Easy to wheel around and move before you hook it up. We use an ATV to spread.

Quality Control?

Thought this was a great product although I had to go Tractor Supply to understand how to engage the spreader. Worked great for my 2 stalled horses. Unfortunately, I've only used it 5 times and nuts and bolts started falling off in the field. The spreader wheel disconnected on one side and the engagement mechanism bolt fell off on the other side on the same outing. I had to do repairs to it in the field in order to get it back into the barnyard. Then had to repair bent engagement mechanism and bent blocking bar (tube?) I rechecked all nuts and bolts but worried it will happen again. Also, the specs online say 250# capacity but the actual spreader has a 200# capacity label on it.

Update for "Much Smoke, Little Substance"

After conversations with both manufacturer's Sales and Tech Support Personnel staff, it became clear that they were unaware of the other concerns from users regarding the engagement levers and the shortcomings of the Operating Instructions accompanying the product. As a result, I followed the TS manager's recommendation of contacting their Customer Solutions Department. They were most helpful in arranging a pick-up of the unit and full refund allowing me to bypass further contact with the less than informative manufacturer.

Much Smoke, Little Substance

Though the manual leads one to believe both levers can be engaged at the same time, a call to the company taught me that only one, opposite to the direction of turns, should be. Regardless, no matter which lever is engaged, it disengages at will forcing me to stop and reposition it. This "on and off" maneuver, sometimes occurring after only 20', renders the entire process more frustrating than productive. I'm awaiting a response from the company and will update this comment accordingly. For now, this product is worth for less than $900.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I like it

The price is good, and very easy to put together hold 3 stalls of manure, the only problem we found was the head that attaches to the the ball doesn't connect well with a recommended 2 in ball, we had to go to a 1-7/8 ball on our ATV
