1 Answer
  • ComfortBilt Support
A: The unit yes has a built in thermostat with a range of 61 to 82 degrees. When the set temp is achieved the stove will drop down after a minute to idle level. Low flame. The unit also has the ECO option built in that will turn the unit off when temp is achieved. The if the home drops 2 degrees below set will make another fire.

Q: What is the flue height restriction? Would 18 feet be too tall for the flue?

1 Answer
  • ComfortBilt Support
A: There are numerous ways to run the exhaust on a pellet stove. The ideal length is 4-6 feet. The exhaust motors push the smoke, so the shorter the better. Unlike woodstove that is natural draft 6-8 inch piping the pellet stoves use 3-4 inch and when the length is extreme (over 12feet) then it becomes harder to push that far.

Q: Stove goes out warning low temp?

1 Answer
  • ComfortBilt Support
A: Sorry that you are getting low heat alarms. These are caused by 2-3 different things. Hopper getting low or funneling, lid switch stopping the feed action, cleaning time too long, or feed too low, or lastly a sticky auger rotation. If you call our tech team we can discover the true reason.

Love our comfortBilt HP21 Pellet Stove. It's a perfect size to heat our 1700 sq ft home. It burns clean and cleans up easy. The instant warmth it provides is heavenly on a cold winter morning. I don't know why we didn't do it sooner. The only thing we had to call the company about was a squeak that appeared to be the auger. Once the stove heated up and broke in it eventually Stopped. This took a few weeks and about 6 bags of pellets

This Pellet Stove has been great in being the only heat source for our home. The only complaint would be the gaskets on the sides of the stove. When performing the monthly cleaning, the gaskets seemed to be extremely fragile and gave us an uneasy feeling when placing the covers back on. The exhaust fan gasket was also extremely fragile.

First unit did not work at all. Two cold months later new unit worked but very finicky. It needs way too much attention for a functional heating unit.

It puts out a ton of heat. It'll run the entire night with no problems as long as I cleaned it before turning it on.
