Unsafe design.

I purchased this replacement port a cool fan motor for our shop. First of all, I thought it was a little pricey for the size of the motor. The motor arrived, but it had an exposed capacitor with no cover on it. I thought that was a manufacturing error or defect since the picture obviously shows a cover over the capacitor. So I returned it to the store and ordered another one. The second one arrived about 10 days later and it arrived in the same condition. The capacitor is exposed with no cover on it. This fan motor operates in a damp/wet environment. I am not sure how this is not an electrical shock hazard and dangerous. Since we needed Port a Cool fan up and running for our shop, we fashioned our own cover for the capacitor to prevent electrical shock. if this is their new design. I find it very unsafe and concerning. Unfortunately i could not find another source for this fan motor because of the mounting design, other than directly from port a cool or through tractor supply.
No, I do not recommend this product.
