Cold Steel's Ti-Lite Blades/Folding Knives evoke the sleek speed and rebellious lines of the classic 1950's switchblade. Often imitated, but never equaled, the Ti-Lite (designed by the late, great Phil Boguszewski) is a masterpiece of performance and style. The Ti-Lites are equipped with our stainless-steel leaf spring locks (proven, in our tests, to hold upwards of 145 lbs). For ease of carry, the Ti-Lites come equipped with a small, but unobtrusive steel pocket clip, and can be opened rapidly by using the thumb studs or by snagging a quillon on the edge of your pocket as you draw your knife out. Kris Ti-Lite. Fans of the Ti-Lite series knives are sure to be enthused by the arrival of our new Kris styled blades. Available with four inch or six inch plain edged blades, and a six-inch serrated version. The handles are made of Griv-Ex in a flat dark earth color. "My Lynn Thompson Ti-Lite with its Kris shaped blade was such a hit we decided to offer it in a 4" and 6" versions in our regular line up. Available with a flat dark earth colored handle made of super strong grivory and a high satin polished blade, it's a real looker that sure to grab all the attention in the room when you snap it open. And as an added bonus its Kris shaped blade comes razor sharp and is uniquely suited for cutting and piercing and will really shine for emergency self-defense." - Lynn Thompson

To CSFanatic regarding oil type to use

The best oil to use I’ve found on any blade is a Japanese sword oil. I’ll add a picture for reference. It is a type of organic oil and preserves blade steel of any type and even aides in resharpening. Enjoy.

Yes, I recommend this product.

One of the Best CS Products Ever

I received the, Cold Steel Ti-lite Kris Serrated 6 inch, knife for my birthday and I just could not be happier. This is not my first Ti-lite from Cold Steel but it is undoubtedly my favorite now. By far. Everything from the beautiful and highly functional design, the aggressive and awesome serration that I’ve come to expect from Cold Steel over the years, the needle sharp but strong tip, the wonderful color of the handle and the really smooth yet rad grain in it, to just the overall intimidating size has completely won me over in this latest Cold Steel blade. When I say that I couldn’t be happier I mean that one hundred and twenty percent. The knife was even oiled well and perhaps recently oiled I believe. Because even with a monster like this I am still able to flick it’s very long blade out from the handle, smoothly and one-handed. I bought the smaller 3.5 Cold Steel Hide Out recently and was a little perturbed that it felt like it needed some oil in the moving parts. I know all knives need to be oiled eventually. But, I still always hope that when I first receive one that that isn’t the case. I’ve tried many different oils in the past and I still have no idea what is the correct and best kind to use. I actually plan on emailing Cold Steel soon, to ask them what type of oil I should use on their products. I’ve used some trash brands in the past that have all but destroyed a blade that I was trying to make smoother with the opening and closing. Yet, as I mentioned, this unbelievably amazing Kris knife came well oiled and I love that I can quickly and easily flick out the blade with one hand using the prominent thumb-stud. Overall I am extremely impressed by the wonderful craftsmanship, attention to detail and quality control and just the great creativeness put into this knife. I am so impressed with this Ti-lite VI that I think I will probably purchase another one so that I have one to keep for posterity and one to always carry with me. I just love this offering from Cold Steel that very much. I should state, too, that even with my misgivings over quality going massively down with GSM Outdoors buying out Cold Steel. Well, the quality of the AUS 10 knife is perfection in my opinion and I also am once again thoroughly pleased with how much faster the shipping is with the new people in ownership of Cold Steel. As much as I’ve always loved CS, they used to ship my orders a lot slower than I liked to be honest. I hope this review was helpful to others and if you have even the slightest inkling in wanting to buy this Ti-lite Kris blade. Well, I say absolutely GO FOR IT! Haha. And it’s just a personal choice, of course. But I always recommend buying the serrated version of a knife if possible. Mainly because it means you won’t have to sharpen it very often. And seeing the unique shape of this rad blade, you’ll probably have a little bit of tough time getting it sharp everywhere on the non-serrated version even with something like a Sharpmaker. Plus, seeing as this is much more a defensive knife, having the menacing Cold Steel serrations is like having a chainsaw blade to keep you safe, hehe. Many thanks, again, to Lynn Thompson and everyone at Cold Steel for making the very best weapons and blades out there and God bless all of you.

Yes, I recommend this product.
