Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rough start We picked our chicks up at 11:30 and within 24 hrs all but 2 had died. I don’t know if it was the stress/temps of traveling or what. The 2 that did survive, are strong and healthy!

Are there any health guarantees on the chicks. What if a few die?

Asked by: Devin207
Chicks are guaranteed as to live delivery and everything possible is anticipated to make sure you receive your shipment in good health. Unfortunately there are times, as you note, and as you can see, some of the babies may not make it. A guarantee is made for live delivery upon receipt of the babies and 48 hours after. If you lose any chicks beyond the extra, you will be refunded for the losses or a reshipment can be made

we are new at raising chickens. Can chickens share the same area as rabbits and turkeys? We just bought a house with an acre and we want to start raising chickens and other small farm animals. Which is the best to start with for desert areas?

Asked by: Mickey Lynn
Ultimately when they are feathered and strong (beyond 12 weeks), they can share the same area as turkeys and rabbits. To start, you should have a safe brooder that keeps temperature between 90-95 degrees consistently for the first 4-5 weeks

Do the chicks come already vaccinated?

Asked by: N0416
Chicks are not generally vaccinated as some wish to feed medicated feed to prevent cocci. If chicks are vaccinated at day old and then medicated feed used those would cancel out.
