Rated 5 out of 5 by from Above average heavy duty trailer jack Been using this jack on a heavy duty 28' goose neck for two years.  It has provided dependable service and ease of lift compared to other heavy duty jacks, often with around10,000 lbs on the jack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sounds like no one did his homework. Trailer jacks come spring-loaded --push the footplate down with your foot and lock it  then pull the pin to retract it or non-spring-loaded-- pull the pin and let it drop and crank til the pin catches again then pull the pin and lift when you want it retracted. My solid aluminum trailer that I have used the last 20+ years has a non spring-loaded jack which now needs replacing. I've given the trailer to my daughter and I'll let her decide what she wants

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 12K BULLDOG JACK RULE #1: READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING! THAT'S WHY THEIR HERE...lol I TOO BOUGHT THIS ITEM, WELDED TO MY TRAILER ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT IT WAS NOT SPRING LOADED. THAT IS WHY I AM HERE WRITING THIS REVIEW, BECAUSE I WAS HERE TO SEE IF MINE WAS BROKE OR IF I DID EXACTLY WHAT EVERYONE ELSE HAD DONE. DID NOT CHECK IT OUT BEFORE INSTALLING, OR READ THE REVIEWS ON THE ITEM...LOL
