Not a good trailer jack. Only 3" of travel

I bought this jack to replace one just like it that is on my 2014 dump trailer that is so hard to jack up with a load, it is all but impossible but it will go up. I started to mount this one but I decided to try it out with a 7K dump trailer with nothing in it. This jack is way worse than the old one. It is supposed to travel 15". This one will travel about 2-1/2" and even without a load it will NOT crank out more than 3" load or no load. It was the only one in stock and it was THE MOST EXPENSIVE one they had in that rating/type. I'm glad I only wedged it into place and not welded it. It's going back.
