It is recommended to offer long-stem forage to all horses in combination with Unbeetable Complete as long as it is safe to do so for the individual horse. Forage intake should be offered at a minimum of 1.5% of the horse's body weight per day, while free choice forage intake is advised in most circumstances. The amount of free choice forage intake should be based on body condition, life state and health status of the individual horse. If soaked, Unbeetable Complete can be fed to horses that are unable to consume long-stem forage. Feeding rate recommendations are minimums designed to offer a full plane of nutrition, based on weight and life stage. More Unbeetable Complete may be fed to achieve desired body condition score. If feeding less than the recommended amount listed, a ration balance may be added to ensure optimal nutrient intake. Provide fresh water and free choice salt in combination with this product. Please consult with a nutritionist of veterinarian regarding your horse's specific needs. Feeding with forage: Forage at least 1.5% in body weight per day is advised in addition to the pounds of feed in the tables below.

Many nutritionists and veterinarians recommended that changes to a horse's feed be made gradually. As such, we suggest introducing Unbeetable Complete as no more than 25% of a horse's feed ration for the first week with an additional 25% added each subsequent week. This will give the horse's gut time to adjust.
