Loved using near chips but thisnbrands flakes are small and NOT large like I had "assumed" like the precious brand TSC carried. Returned product

These are bad for animals.

I just reads that cedar chips are bad for chickens. I have them in my coop and 2 more bags of this stuff. Why Cedar Chips Are a Bad Choice for Chickens ❌ Toxic Aromatic Oils (Phenols): Cedar contains strong-smelling natural oils (phenols) that irritate chickens' respiratory systems. Over time, this can cause breathing issues, eye irritation, and stress in chickens. Can be especially bad for young chicks or birds with weaker lungs. ❌ Dust and Fine Particles: Cedar shavings break down into fine dust, which can cause lung irritation. In a dry environment, it can worsen respiratory problems for both chickens and humans. ❌ Toxic to Some Animals: Cedar can be toxic to small animals and birds due to its oils and dust. It’s especially bad for confined coops with limited ventilation.
