TORO 42" Lawn Mower. The front linkage failed after 3 weeks. The engine wouldn't start and the transmission was completely locked up, preventing the rear wheels from turning. After replacing it with a second mower, two parts fell off during the first mowing session. One was plastic, I don't know what it was from, and the other was made of thick wire (about 1/4" in diameter) connecting the transmission lock to the locking mechanism, which didn't have a lock couter pin. This wire slipped and bent, catching on the concrete garage entrance. I straightened the lever myself and now it works. In short, the mechanical design seems to be correct, but the assembly and technical inspection are Chinese-style.

After only a 2 month ownership, the solenoid froze, causing me to pay to have the mower brought to a shop for warranty repairs. It seems to me that Toro should be responsible for transit expenses.
