Just received my new Husqvarna zero-turn Z242F mower. Haven't had a chance to mow the lawn with it, but did ride it around the yard to get used to the handling, having owned a Kubota T2080 42" riding mower for the last 15 years. Have dealt with Berg's Equipment in Wainfleet, Ontario for the last 15 years and have nothing but praise for their service department.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Cuts good but not comfortable!

The Z242F Special Edition is the 2nd Husqvarna that I have bought. The 1st was a RZ46 that lasted 13 years with no major issues until the motor finally gave out. I was very pleased with it. I really didn’t need a 46” cut so I dropped down to a 42”. The issue I have with the new mower is it’s not as comfortable and the steering seems very stiff. I was excited about having my 1st Kawasaki engine because I thought it might have been a step up until I did my 1st oil change. It was hard to get to and the worst thing was seeing that the drain valve was a plastic piece screwed into a hot metal housing. I read where after a while it would start leaking. I replaced it with a aftermarket drain hose which took a minute but makes it a lot easier to change the oil. Finally when I bought the mower the website said and showed this model came with armrests but after delivery when I questioned this to my dealer they said no it didn’t. I asked them to look at the website but they wouldn’t budge. Not long after the website was updated not showing armrests. I will not recommend this mower because of the comfort level.
