Great mower at a very reasonable price.

We bought this mower to replace a 2012 Timecutter 50. This Max 50 is a beast and is built more like a heavy-duty commercial model. It is very comfortable, fast, and a pleasure to use. Lots of power without burning a lot of gas. The only things that I would change on the mower are the filler cap location, which is on the side, so that I cannot use my funnel; and I need to keep the control handles pulled outward while the mower is moving because they will bump each other if you pull them toward each other. There is no adjustment to prevent this. With that said, our other mower is a Titan 60, and we love our Toro machines.

Propelling 644lb mower + 200lb driver (844lbs!) puts extreme heat stress on small, non serviceable. transmission.
Mower lugs down cutting 5" thick grass/ turf weeds to 3". Horse power underrated. Transmission high temperature oil expands, slight leak out filler cap.
