Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for the chicken coop I’ve been using sweet pdz in the chicken coop for several months now and completely love it. I use it on the shelf under the roost bar in our coop. I keep a layer of pdz there all the time and then just scoop out chicken mess with a cat scooper. So easy! It definitely keeps the smells down in the summer months. It is a bit dusty when I pour out the bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really works! I purchased this to dry out mud on the floor of a run-in shelter that was just built before I began building up the base. I am on Indiana clay and it seemed hopeless getting the mud to dry up enough to finish the floor of the shelter. It was real boot-sticking mud, but after I sprinkled some on the wet spots, they became much more stable and dry. I bought 4 bags but I have discovered a little bit goes a long way! I even sprinkled some in the gateway to make it less squishy and slippery. Very happy with this product and I'm sure I will purchase more when I run out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great So far is working great for my goat house to keep the ammonia smell at a minimum. since we have had some colder nights they are spending a lot more time in there as well and smells much better with the PDZ. Also used in my rat cage bedding and keeps it fresh for a day or 2 longer then before.

Can this product be used in a dirt play yard for a pregnant dog to help with urine smell?

Asked by: Queenpixie1001
Yes, this product can be used for that application and will not harm the dog as long as the product is not consumed. We would recommend using a light sprinkle and mixing it with the dirt.

Is this product safe to use in goat pens? I have 4 goats and their pen is dirt flooring. We have straw for their bedding but as you know goats urinate alot and we use a rake to mix up the soil but was wondering if this product was good to use for them

Asked by: pam thorne
This is a safe and efficient product for all goats. The amount used should be determined by the number of inhabitants and activity as well as size of containments and stalls.

In one post it is stated the product is safe for all animals and in another post it states it is safe for the dog if not consumed.  Which is it?

Asked by: Shannon2018
Sweet PDZ is an inert and food grade mineral, so random and accidental consumption of it in small amounts presents no health problems. Now if a dog or another pet specie consumes a large amount (which is essentially impossible, as it would be as appealing as eating dirt) then the animal/pet should be given water to drink and/or taken to a vet for exam.

How is this product applied to a 12' x 12' horse stall?

Asked by: Susmorte
Sprinkle a loose dusting, about 4 or more cups, on top of fresh shavings or in between adding bedding and rake it in. This is a granular product so it can be mixed with other bedding. Can use cedar or pine shavings.

Can this be used in a yard? IE - sprinkled on soil (just dirt patch, no grass) where dogs frequently urinate in the backyard? The urine smell has become very strong in that area. Thanks in advance.
