Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for outdoor dog kennel area We got several of these mats to put in an outdoor kennel area for our lab. Naturally prone to digging (and spilling their water everywhere!) these mats have been a huge lifesaver making her kennel cleaner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good non-slip surface even in harsh weather! I bought these before our last blizzard and placed them outside the run in for my rescues. I know its not a conventional application for these, but they worked really, really, really well. They did blow about a little, but the real issue is keeping one of my rescues from picking them up and playing with them in the pasture.

how do you lock them together. they don't seem to line up.

Asked by: dog runner
You will need to line up the buttons on the side of the top mat with the holes on the side of the bottom mat. Then press together them. For additional information, please contact the manufacturer at https://northwestrubber.com/contact/.

For a 12x12 horse wash stall , will they come apart if not against the wall  & wet?  Can water get underneath to drain/ channels underneath ?  Will mud & sand get stuck in holes?

Asked by: EHL1
This product will interlock mat to mat however there is a possibility the mats can be pulled apart. The bottom surface of the mat is designed with pins or legs to allow water to channel and drain in any direction. The holes are approx. ¾” diameter so most sand and mud flushes through the holes with water flow. The interlocking on these mats are not extremely tight – the plus is they can be easily taken apart for cleaning. An option to hold them together is to use nylon cable/zip ties but this makes for a more permanent situation.

Can the interlocking panels be arranged in a 2X4 foot pattern?

Asked by: Wawaset Warrior
Per the manufacturer the product is 3’ x 3’ so it would not be possible to have a 2’ x 4’ foot pattern.

These are marketed as an anti-fatigue product, but nobody has said how well it works for anybody standing for long periods of time. Is this a good mat to combat the pains of lengthy standing times?

Asked by: JudyH4
Yes, this is an anti-fatigue horse stall mat meant for standing for long periods.

Do these mats, in order to stay in place have to be next to the wall?  My area is 12’x12’.  Would 9’x9’ work for that area without coming apart?

Asked by: Cathe
These mats will stay together through their strong interlocking system. They do not need to be pressed against a wall.

Can you use these to park a rv on?

Asked by: Suzanny
The NWT-WR33L-BLK-DC interlock’s mat to mat however there is a possibility the mats can be pulled apart as the interlocking on these mats is not very tight. The plus is they can be easily taken apart for cleaning etc. however the downside is the fact they can pull apart. An option to hold them together is to use nylon cable/zip ties but this makes for a more permanent situation. The bottom surface of the mat is designed with pins or legs to allow water to channel and drain in any direction.
