- A: This feeder fits standard suet cakes/bars/blocks that are within 5.5” T x 4.9” W x 1.6” D. The Royal Wing 8oz bar/block is not one of our SKUs, but I believe those bars are approximately 4.5” x 4.5” x 1” so they should fit within this feeder.3 years agoHelpful?

Was great. till it was stolen.

Great suet cage. sturdy. Doesnt open from birds hanging on it. As great a cage this was, it was taken by some creature mid day. My guess is a crow or ticked off woodpecker or blue jay took it. 1st time, they took the cage, chain and hook. 2nd time, it took just the cage and left the hook. Tried using chicken wire to makeshift a cage with the same black hook and chain. After eating the suet, they dropped the amkeshift cage and took the black chain and hook. Would have thought trash panda, but it was mid day with our two indoor guard cats watching.
Gonna bolt down the next one.

The birds surround this feeder daily and the suet still lasts a while! I love bird watching and any products that attract them, but these bird feeders are the most durable we have found!

I purchased the smallest feeders because I don’t routinely feed the birds, but due to the unusual cold weather wanted to help them. The squirrels figured out how to open them and ran away with the suet. I think the latch should be on the top rather than the bottom. If I use them again, I will wrap the latch with some wire
