Rated 2 out of 5 by from A lot are not sealed...!!!! :( We have been buying Royal Wing suets for years. We've have had a problem the last several times of some of the suets not being completely sealed around the plastic and this last time we found worms in one of the suet!!!! I'm so disappointed in these suet's now. We buy a whole box of individual Royal Wing only different flavors. It seems that all of them are having sealing issues. We've even bought the assorted value box and still have had this issue. In one box every suet was unsealed on one corner but seemed to still be good. We told a store associate and she apologized and we appreciate that but what I should have done was to take the suet back. We're not sure if Royal Wing is having trouble with quality control or if they are not using enough glue to keep the suet sealed. I'm hesitate to buy any more due to having the last with worms. We buy the box's or a box of our pick of individual flavors due to we love feeding our birds and they can go through the suet so quickly but these are wasting our money now! We also keep them in our garage where they stay dry. If we decide to try them one more time and see unsealed suets, I will take a picture, take them back to the store and update post.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Day time temp. 83'F and cake melted and dripped! I hung up the suet cake and the next day it was 83'F and the cake dripped and melted into the holder so we can't separate them! The deck has a greasy mess and the cake with sunflower seeds is totally ignored by the birds! Have no idea why their Suet cakes melt at such a low temp--no other brand has done this!

Are these safe for young chicks?

Asked by: chazz0861
Generally this product is safe for all birds, but more information would be needed to make an accurate recommendation. Are the chicks hand fed, free feeding, or cared for by their parents?
