Rated 4 out of 5 by from Royal Wing Cedar Grand Snack Shack Bird feeder is very nice and has no problem attracting birds. Construction is a bit weak and it needs a few extra finish nails to make sure it will last.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Needs improvements! Poorly designed and constructed! Flimsy materials and held together with cheap wire staples. Wood rots quickly especially if its used in areas of inclement weather. Yes, cedar will and does split and decay. The troughs are shallow and hard for birds to perch comfortably. I learned the hard way when it comes to bird feeding. It's worth spending the extra on well made products. Mine ended up in recycle in less than 6 months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful wood! Weathers well. This is a nice feeder as the seeds are protected from rain, and I bought some seed blocks to add on the sides, but racoons or possums got to them before the birds could nibble!! I may take them off (if I can't get rid of critters!). Thank you

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly designed There is not enough room for the birds to perch and eat. My birds haven ot come since I put it up. My husband added a bottom and we are hoping it will help

how do you fill this feeder

Asked by: aunt ree
The roof lifts up to allow access to the feed chamber.

Does this roof have a hinged lid to fill the feeder? Or do you have to take the whole top off the feeder to fill it? Thanks

Asked by: Heather Clay
The roof lifts up to allow access to the feed chamber; there is no hinge.
