- A: Great question thanks for asking. Standlee recommends that you feed between 1.5% to 2% of your horse's body weight. If your horse is an easy keeper without much work 1.5% would be 15lbs daily. I miss the family owned feed stores

My pony has an insulin problem. This product was prescribed because it is 100% timothy. Since the Elgin store doesn't carry this product, I've been ordering it 3 bags at a time with free shipping directly from TC with free shipping. When I tried to order today, I was hit with a $29.99 shipping charge for both home delivery and store delivery. That's $10 added per bag. Store delivery should be free. Just goes to show that this corporation is not really a feed store, but they are happy to have run all our family owned feed stores in Travis Co out of business.
No, I do not recommend this product.
