Q: Does it have a cover in the front so snow don't get jn

1 Answer
  • A: Hello Wanda, The ShelterLogic 10 ft. x 20 ft. x 8 ft. AutoShelter Round-Top Instant Garage comes with (1) zipper end panel and (1) solid end panel for the rear. Please note this is a temporary structure and is not live load rated. Therefore, we recommend anchoring down the structure and immediately removing any accumulated snow off the structure (if applicable). Thank you!

Q: Hi. How will this hold up in the snow?

1 Answer
  • A: Hello, Unfortunately, this particular unit is not live load rated so we do not have those figures available. When properly assembled and anchored its compact size and round shape do provide a natural shedding of the elements. If this is a concern we do offer similar units which do offer wind and snow ratings. For more details please give us a call at 1-800-932-9344. Thanks

I have had this for a month. It wasn't hard to set up but unfortunately the directions make you go back steps. My chickens love their new shelter. Waiting to see how it holds up in snow!

Probably not the best solution for horses.

We bought this to use as a run-in shed for horses. We did modify the shelter by covering the frame with particle board and putting the tarp over that. We live at 8,000 feet and it’s windy up here, but haven’t had the shed blow away. However, the wind has damaged the tarp wherever it rubs on anything and the horses chewed on it so much that we had to put an electric fence around the shelter to keep their teeth off the tarp. Although eight feet sounds high enough for the roof, it’s actually much less due to the Quonset hut shape of the building. It is only that high in the middle because the sides slope down. We desperately needed a shelter for the horses and this is better than nothing. It was not especially difficult to put up and would have gone even faster, but for screwing the wood to the frame. I have been using a very strong duct tape for repairing the tarp, and that works well. We only put the North facing door on and it has taken a beating. The doors and their zippers are quite weak. I have to use concrete blocks to hold the door in the down position, otherwise it flaps about like crazy. My horses have gotten used to the flapping and the noise the shed makes, but it freaked them out for the first couple of weeks.

Great Idea, Poor Durability

I am on my third cover for this shelter. I’ve only had it for seven years. The most recent one I purchased last summer. Wind storms early this spring started a hole in the side of the shelter which is now big enough for me to walk through! Not what I expected for the money!

No, I do not recommend this product.
