With this 3-in-1 solution, get up to a 50% thicker lawn with just one application (subject to proper care)! Thick'R Lawn contains soil improver for enhanced root development, seed to fill gaps with new grass and fertilizer to feed new grass and thicken and green existing turf. This product is intended for use on an entire lawn and can be applied easily with a Scotts spreader. Results may vary based on current condition of lawn. The grass seed requires full sun and part shade to grow.

Quick turf lush up!

I received this product for free from Influenster for my honest review. Living in Kansas, we take our turf pretty seriously, and Scotts is basically the "big dog" around here everyone knows them and expects results. I just finished the application, and the 10pound bag was just right for covering a typical suburban front and backyard (about 1,000 square feet). While I can’t give you the final "before and after" reveal just yet, I’ll be back in a few months to update on how it held up. What I really dig about this is the 3-in-1 approach. It’s a solid overseeding choice because it doesn't just toss seed at the problem; the added fertilizer acts like a "turbo mode" for growth, and the soil improver packed with organic materials is designed to get those roots deep and strong. Since my yard gets a mix of everything, I'm glad it's formulated for both sun/shade and drought resistance once it gets its feet under it. The bag itself is foolproof. The instructions actually have color photos, which is a nice touch if you’re worried about messups. It went down easy, and now it's just a waiting game to see if it delivers that thick, lush carpet it promises.

You will have the best yard on the block!

We had some bald patches in our front lawn that needed some help. We live on a busy street so we want the lawn to be lush and Scott’s Turf Builder Thick’r Lawn Sun & Shade is where it’s at! We have trees and full sun areas and both have shown growth. It’s easy to use and it does go a long way.

Maybe Too Late In The Fall

I live in Missouri and have Fescue. I might have overseeded with the Scotts® Turf Builder® Thick'R Lawn® Sun & Shade too late in the Fall. We had a dog days summer that went into mid-September, so I decided to wait until October to seed, then weekends slipped away and early October turned into late October. We have had some good soaking rains since I seeded, so fingers crossed I see some sprouts popping soon.

Good grass seed!

I got lucky - put the grass seed down just as we finally got sone much needed rain! The cool weather is helping, too. I expect to be able to cut the new grass in another 2-3 weeks.
