Q: I have no idea what my grass is but I know it has some Bermuda- it’s whatever gross in west Knoxville at a house built in the 1960s. Also can I apply it now?
17 days ago1 Answer
- A: Hello and thanks for your question. Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed3 can be applied to Bahia, Bermuda, Buffalo, Centipede, Bluegrass, Ryegrass, Fescue, and Zoysia grasses. You can apply the product now if temperatures are consistently between 60-90°F and weeds are actively growing in the lawn. To get the best results, apply early morning when dew is still on the ground and rain is not expected for 24 hours. (Note: There are very few exceptions to this rule, and they rarely come up).16 days agoHelpful?

Q: At what depth of typical clay/ loam soil will the herbicides 2-4-D and MCPP dissipate? Will this move through a few feet of soil or actually continue down to greater depths. Will it get into 100 foot well aquifer? What is residual of 24D and MCPP? Thanks!

Q: How soon can water get on the lawn after applying
2 years ago2 Answers
- A: Grass should be thoroughly watered or wet from dew before applying Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed3. Application to moist grass helps particles to stick to weed leaves. Do not water lawn for 24 hours after application or apply when rain is expected within 24 hours after application. Watering after the 24 hour period is recommended, especially if temperatures are in the 80's or higher or there is activity on the lawn. Water enough to wash product off of the weeds/grass or continue with your regular watering program. If rain occurs unexpectedly in less than 24 hours, product should not be reapplied.2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Will this product harm wild bunnies that live in my yard that are approximately 1 month old?
4 years ago1 Answer
- A: Make application of Scotts Turf Builder Weed & Feed when wildlife is least active. Water the lawn as soon as possible once the 24 hours is up. Do not apply when weather conditions favor drift from target area.4 years agoHelpful?
